Lunch at work

This blog isn't technically about work, but it is about how sad that many employees eat their cold leftovers, whilst hunched over their desks at work.

We've all been there; you know you won't have time to go out for lunch, so you rummage through your fridge looking for the leftovers to take to work. Next thing you know, you're eating a "sad desk lunch" that hopefully tastes better than it looks.

According to research, 62% of office workers usually eat their lunch in the same spot they work all day, so you're in good company. But you shouldn’t be!!

It doesn’t do anyone any good to eat at their desk. Everyone needs a break from their screens and to stretch their legs. Eating lunch at a different venue or just going for a walk has been shown to revitalise employees for the afternoon.

If you need any advice on encouraging your employees to achieve a better work/life balance or require training advice on Time Management or Effective Management skills, please contact one of our HR Consultants on 01935 411191 or enquiries@rbhr.co.uk to discuss further.
